Writing and publishing an article with your student

The teacher asks students who deliver exceptional assignments to write an article with her.

The students are asked to write two individual assignments that consist of an annotation on the judgement of a court, with some questions as guidance. Students can choose a theme from a list of possibilities. Students receive written individual feedback on the papers and general feedback during the seminars.

Aims

The blogging assignment helps to achieve the following aims in the course:

  • The student has improved knowledge of European law – especially the system of judicial protection and enforcement- and the way in which this law produces effects in the Member States.
  • The student has knowledge and understanding of the relation between European and national public law, more particularly of how EU law changes fundamental aspects of the administrative law of the EU Member States.
  • The student is able to apply regulations and case law, solve cases, apply legal reasoning.
  • The student is able to collect relevant materials  both orally and in writing, individually and in groups, to analyze, explain, comment on and explain these materials.
