Floor van Maaren for her Master’s thesis studied the “integration paradox”: The notion that higher-educated immigrants are less acculturated to the Netherlands than lower-educated immigrants. In advanced statistical analysis of survey data on immigrants she finds no support for this idea. The thesis was published in a high-impact journal on immigration: Journal of Ethnic and Migration Studies.
