Sector Plan Welfare, Participation and Citizenship in a Digital World

The world is becoming more and more digital. Which influence does this have on humans and society? What does this digitalization mean for the job market? How can we ensure that reliable information is available to everyone, so civilians know what their rights are and can make informed decisions in elections? How do we ensure that new techniques become accessible to everyone?

Utrecht University puts these and other questions centre stage in the Sector Plan ‘Welfare, Participation and Citizenship in a Digital World’. Researchers and lecturers from four Utrecht faculties collaborate to expand this important theme in research, education and dialogue between academia and practice.

They do this based on three themes:
