Damion Bunders (1993) is Assistant Professor at the department of Human Geography and Spatial Planning and the Utrecht University School of Governance. His research focuses on institutional change and geographies of the digital transition, especially concerning social innovation in the digital society (also see ). Damion takes an interdisciplinary approach and works together with societal stakeholders to examine alternative development pathways, for instance in the platform economy and for ‘left behind places’. Being experienced in both quantitative and qualitative methods, he uses surveys, interviews and textual analyses. Damion has a University Teaching Qualification (BKO in Dutch) and specializes in the use of digital tools for education and in community-engaged learning.
