Anne van der Put is an assistant professor in the Department of Sociology at Utrecht University/ICS. Among other topics in the realm of family and work, she conducts research on part-time workers and how these that want to, can be motivated to work more hours, as a solution to labor market shortages. This research is part of the program, a collaboration with the Ministry of Social Affairs and Employment, funded by the National Growth Fund. Within this program, she serves as the research coordinator.
Anne earned her PhD in 2023 with a dissertation titled Healthy at Work: The Role of the Work Environment in Workplace Health Promotion. In her dissertation, she focused on the role of organisations in promoting healthy lifestyles, well-being, and vitality among employees. She investigated how the social environment of employees (comprising colleagues and managers) influences the use of vitality policies and whether these policies impact the health and functioning of employees. She has extensive experience in coordinating data collections, including the European Sustainable Workforce Survey, which gathers data from HR managers, supervisors, and employees on how organizations maintain the sustainable employability of their workforce.
