Projects
In the field of better well-being, Utrecht University collaborates with various partners, inside and outside the university. We are open to possible collaborations. Please contact us.
Examples of cooperation lie in the further development of the Better Well-being Index (BWI) or the use of the BWI as an independent measurement instrument for monitoring the development of better well-being in a specific region. This makes the BWI extremely suitable for monitoring and evaluating policy implementations and projects that aim to increase broad welfare. It is also possible to develop a tailor-made BWI, taking into account specific indicators.
We are currently working on the following projects.
Publication Better Well-being Index
In collaboration with RaboResearch, the Better Well-being Index is updated and published annually.

The publications are in DutchBWI Youth
The well-being of young people is highlighted in the news recently. They seem increasingly gloomy and troubled by the doomsday scenarios outlined in the future. In collaboration with the research network Dynamics of Youth, we are exploring whether the upcoming generation needs a modified well-being indicator. How do they value their well-being? What dimensions do young people value?
BWI monitoring and policy analysis
The BWI team is continuously working on the further development of the Better Well-being Index and considers it important that the data can be widely used. The team is currently investigating whether it is possible to make future predictions on (proposed) government policies based on the available data and models.
