New on edusources: the workshop Basics of Copyright

A workshop is added to , the national platform offering a large number of digital (open) educational resources. The workshop deals with copyright, is aimed at students and has been developed by the Copyright Information Office of Utrecht University Library.

, students learn how to apply the basic principles of copyright in a practical and systematic manner. Students will analyse concrete cases of (re)using works and will practise  with sharing or publishing their own work. The cases described deal with almost all aspects of copyright and reuse.

Adapting the material to your own goals

The information offered in this workshop is fairly generic, so you can adapt the cases as you please. For instance, you can add or remove cases, or combine assignments to save time. Or make the cases more appealing by translating them to your own discipline. A short manual gives information about how the material can be used.

Research integrity

Being up to speed of the ins and outs of copyright means that students learn to comply with the demands of research integrity.
