Streaming services and data-driven screenwriting

More and more people watch television shows on online platforms. In doing so, they leave behind data traces that are of great importance for streaming services. These services do not only know what people look at on their platform and when, they also keep track of which programs are fully copied, which episodes viewers are watching (i.e. without interruption) and when people quit a series. An interview by Nina K枚ll with media scientists Hanna Surma and Judith Keilbach (Media and Culture). They investigate how this data is used to write scenarios.
