Yasmin Penha Moral is a visiting researcher in the Department of Human Geography and Spatial Planning at Utrecht University, starting in October (2024). She holds a Bachelor's degree in Geography from the State University of S茫o Paulo (UNESP) and is currently pursuing a Master's degree in Geography at UNESP (Rio Claro). Her research explores the potential of agroforestry systems as an alternative land use strategy and sustainable transition. It examines the potential and obstacles to achieving agroecosystem autonomy and food sovereignty in Southern S茫o Paulo State, Brazil. She is part of the research lab called Laboratory of Geopolitics, Regional Analysis and Critical Social Theory (GEOMUNDI) in UNESP (Rio Claro, Brazil). She is also one of the editorial comission members of the Journal Geography (Rio Claro, S茫o Paulo).
