PhD research: judicial feedback to legislature

When and how does the judiciary signals legislative shortcomings or bottlenecks to legislators and what do legislators do with these signals? When do these signals in the first place reach the legislature? In my PhD research I map out the practice of constitutional dialogues and feedback mechanisms between judiciary and legislature in the Dutch constitutional order. In this research I aim to fill these knowledge gaps by applying constitutional and policy-scientific theoretical perspectives and by combining doctrinal with qualitative empirical research methods. The project is supervised by prof. mr. Janneke Gerardsprof. dr. mr. Mark Bovens and mr. dr. Eva van Vugt
