Nikki Theeuwes MSc
Junior Assistant Professor
Nikki Theeuwes is a Junior Assistant Professor at the Copernicus Institute of Sustainable Development, where she combines teaching with a PhD. She teaches as part of the Innovation Studies group in the Science and Innovation Management Bachelor and the Global Sustainability Science Bachelor. In her research, she focuses on the politics of policy coherence and indicators in SDG governance as part of countries' efforts to localise the SDGs and Leave No One Behind. In doing so she is zooming in on one specific aspect of Leave No One Behind, gender inequality, in subnational governance in India.
She obtained her BSc in Interdisciplinary Social Sciences and a MSc in Sustainable Development, Earth System Governance at Utrecht University.
