As a PhD student I research the molecular communication between plants and their (beneficial) microbiota, and how this communication brings about changes in the physiology of the plant-microbial system. More specifically, my research focuses on coumarins, phenolic and fluorescent plant-produced compounds, and how they determine the output of plant-microbe interactions.
