Junior Assistant Professor
Public Governance and Management

Linde Bekkers has been a teaching-PhD (in Dutch: docent-promovendus) in the Department of Public Administration and Organizational Sciences since September 2024. Her doctoral research focuses on “future design in the governance for climate change.” Within her research, Linde engages in both quantitative and qualitative research, using future design and creative research methods. In terms of content, her research deals with securing a long-term perspective in climate policy,  institutional trust and polarization. Linde also values the fact that her research is accessible to a wider audience and strives for social impact. As a researcher, this is a core focus of her work.

Linde previously graduated cum laude with a Bachelor's degree in Sociology (BSc), conducting a quantitative study on the differences between ideological and affective polarization and their influence on voting behavior in the United States. She then completed the research master's program in Public Administration and Organisational Science cum laude, with a mixed-method study on how social class shapes sustainable behavior.
