Fleur van Gils is an educational consultant and trainer at Educational Development and Training. She works on themes within primary education and in the field of testing & feedback. Besides her work as consultant/trainer Fleur teaches one day a week at OBS De Toermalijn in Bavel.
Fleur studied the Academic Teacher Training in Primary Education (ALPO, Utrecht University & Hogeschool Utrecht). She then obtained the research master's degree in Educational Sciences: Learning in Interaction (Utrecht University). During her master she worked one day a week as a substitute elementary school teacher for SPO Utrecht. In 2018, Fleur started her PhD research at the School Psychology and Development in Context research group (KU Leuven, Belgium) on the role of teachers in bullying in primary education. In December 2022, she successfully defended her dissertation entitled "Powerless or Powerful? Teachers' responses to bullying as perceived by students: measurement, antecedents, and effects".
