Eva Valencia is doing her PhD in Innovation Dynamics of Plant-Breeding for Resilient Crops. She aims to find ways to bridge system thinking theory with sustainability transition practice, in Crop XR (https://cropxr.org/).

Eva Valencia has specialized in promoting Sustainable Development for 10 years. She first studied it at a legal level as part of the Undergraduate Degree in Law at UNAM in Mexico, and then at a practical level as part of her MSc in Environmental Sciences, Policy and Management from the Erasmus Mundus Consortium MESPOM at Lund University, Central European University, and University of the Aegean. Eva has also worked from international to local institutions promoting sustainability transitions. At the international level, she worked as Scaling Coordinator at the International Maize and Wheat Improvement assessing the scaling potential of agri-food innovations. At a national level, she worked in the Mexican Energy Regulatory Commission. She is also the co-founder of Tricolor Coalition, Mexico City's Doughnut Economics Open Network.
