Willem Rebel has been provendus at the Molengraaf Institute since 2022. Before that, he completed the bachelor's degree in law and the master's degree in Business & Law (cum laude) at Utrecht University.
His PhD research focuses on contractual legal relationships between (both listed and non-listed) companies and its various shareholders. The research concerns an inventory of different types of agreements with shareholders and explores the boundaries of shareholders' freedom of contract and mandatory company law.
