Aline Moore Lorusso, MSc, is a PhD candidate at Utrecht University under the supervision of Dr. Ruud Hortensius and Prof. Dr. Esther Kluwer. She researches the impact of artificial intelligence on social family dynamics, focusing on how the presence of AI at home can affect them. She conducts research with a multi-method approach, using functional near-infrared spectroscopy (fNIRS) and other quantitative methods (e.g., questionnaires, behavioural measures, position- and gaze-orientation, physiological measures, etc.) as well as qualitative methods. Her team conducts research using a mobile lab to visit families at home, measuring their group interactions simultaneously and investigating the synchrony of family members.
Aline is part of the - lab, a team that researches human social cognition in the age of artificial intelligence.
She received her BA in Psychology at Tilburg University and MSc in Social and Health Psychology (research) at Utrecht University.
