I am a PhD Candidate at Utrecht University School of Economics (U.S.E.) and part of the Utrecht University Center for Global Challenges (UGlobe). I visited the at University of Chicago in Spring 2023.
My research interests are in development economics, specifically education and gender. Current projects in my dissertation fall into two research areas: one regarding the impact of intra-household conflict and decision-making on household outcomes; and the second around fostering soft/non-cognitive skills for boys and girls to improve education outcomes. In my research, I use randomized control trials in field-settings as well as lab experiments. My current projects are based in Pakistan, Kenya, Ethiopia and Uganda.
I have a Research Master's degree in Multidisciplinary Economics (cum laude) and a BSc. in Economics and Business Economics (cum laude) from Utrecht University School of Economics.
