Cansel is a PhD candidate at the departments of Interdisciplinary Social Sciences (Youth Studies) and Education & Pedagogy (Youth & Family). Her interdisciplinary research is focused on the developmental dynamics of climate change-related emotions of young people (especially, climate hope and climate anxiety) and their relations with pro-environmental behavior and mental health.
Cansel received her master鈥檚 degree in the research master Development and Socialisation in Childhood and Adolescence (DaSCA, Cum Laude) at Utrecht University in 2023. She obtained her bachelor's degrees in Psychology and Sociology as a double major at Koc University, Istanbul.
