  • Successfully printed an existing design on one of our FDM printers.

  • Learned how to acquire a design for printing

  • Learned how to choose the right material for your application

  • Sliced for various materials and complex designs

  • Gained a solid understanding of the capabilities and limitations of FDM 3D printing technology

What You’ll Need to Bring:

No materials are required for this workshop. We’ll provide everything you need, including access to our FDM 3D printers and filament for printing. The workshop does become more useful if you bring a 3D print model relevant to you.

Watch our video tutorial first!

This workshop is meant to give you a solid understanding of 3D printing and it's main facets. We'll build upon the basic instructions provided by the FDM video tutorial, so be sure to watch this in advance!

Why Join This Workshop?

By attending this workshop, you’ll gain:

  • Hands-on experience operating an FDM 3D printer, from setup to finishing a print.

  • An understanding of how to prepare and manage PLA filament prints, one of the most popular 3D printing materials.

  • Practical knowledge of slicing software and how to optimize print settings for different types of designs.

  • Insights into the broader applications and limitations of FDM 3D printing, helping you determine how to integrate this technology into your own projects.

Whether you're interested in prototyping, hobbyist projects, or exploring the potential of 3D printing in a professional setting, this workshop provides a solid foundation to get started.
