Translation, Intercultural Communication and Education

Most of the world’s population speak more than one language. Globalisation and migration mean that multiculturalism and multilingualism is the norm, rather than the exception. The section Translation, Intercultural Communication and Education brings together staff with expertise in diverse communication practices in contexts characterised by multilingualism and multiculturalism, like interpreting, translation, and translanguaging. We also focus on foreign-language learning and bilingual education.

Education

Our staff teach in programmes across the department of Languages, Literature and Communication, with a focus on a variety of languages – but with a main concentration on the Master's programmes in translation (literary and specialised translation), intercultural communication, and education and communication
