Utrecht Canal Pride 2025: Will you sail with us?
Utrecht University, together with Utrecht University of Applied Sciences (Hogeschool Utrecht) and UMC Utrecht, is sailing with the Utrecht Canal Pride. On 7 June, the party will burst to life!

Places on the boat are unfortunately limited. Therefore, we mainly encourage queer and questioning* people to sign up. That way, on this day, we can stand up for our rights together, speak out against abuses and celebrate the progress we and our predecessors have made.
It's incredible to see the city transform as it does during Pride. Being on the boat and witnessing queer joy in full force - both on the water and among those watching - felt even more significant last year in light of everything happening in the world.
Important to know
Only HU/乐鱼后台/UMC Utrecht students and staff can apply and it is not possible to bring a +1 on the boat. The application form closes on Wednesday 16 April, after which places will be raffled off among the applications. About one week after the closing of applications, you will be told whether you will join us. In any case, put the date of the compulsory sailors' meeting on Wednesday 14 May in the afternoon/evening in your diary.
*Queer is an umbrella term for sexual and gender diverse people including but not limited to gay, bisexual, pansexual, transgender, intersex and non-binary/genderqueer people. By questioning persons, we mean people who have not (yet) committed to a sexuality or gender identity or are still searching.
