Six projects granted with seed money Sport & Society

Sport & Society has granted six innovative research and education projects. All projects will study the meaning of sport for a healthy, inclusive and secure society and will be executed by an interdisciplinary team of researchers. The projects represent a value of €220.000, of which 50% is financed by the five participating faculties.

The 2016 Sport & Society Seed Money Call had an emphasis on two themes:

  1. Sport and inclusion: the meaning of sport for refugees;
  2. Sport and security: integrity in sport organisations.

Next to this there was an open competition call for innovative ideas with regards to research and education.
