Peter Coopmans appointed administrative coordinator National Platform for Languages

Prof. Peter Coopmans (Linguistics) has been asked by the Deans' Council on Literary History and the Programme Bureau for Sustainable Humanities to take on the administrative coordination of both the (National Platform for Languages) and the national project in the coming years. Since 2013, Coopmans has been chairman of the steering group .

The Council would like to see a structure in which the three programmes mentioned above are brought under a single portfolio in day-to-day coordination. The various connections between these programmes could benefit from such an efficient approach, which would also allow more effective action to be taken both within and between the Humanities faculties as well as towards the outside world.
For the National Platform for Languages, Coopmans takes over from Mike Hannay (emeritus VU), and for Masterlanguage from Helena Houvenaghel (Languages, Literature and Communication).
Coopmans can be reached within the 乐鱼后台 (for the Graduate School of Teaching and related matters) at: DirecteurEducatie.GW@uu.nl.
