GDS webinar #1 with Catalina Goanta

On September the 29th the Governing the Digital Society focus area kicked off her webinar series with an interesting presentation and Q&A by , assistant professor in Private Law at Maastricht University. The webinar was organized by Stefan Kulk, coordinator of the Special Interest Group (SIG) ‘Future-proof and responsible regulation of the platform society’.
Catalina shared her thoughts on Human ads: social media monetisation and consumer protection. She presented the audience with numerous ways of social media monetisation and accurate examples of Dutch and international social media stars and the way they monetize with their TikTok, Instagram or Youtube accounts. In addition to this, she explained the law concerning this relatively new way of making money and some of the difficulties with protecting consumers. After the presentation viewers could ask questions and a substantively strong Q&A took place.

Thibault Schrepel, coordinator of the SIG blockchain for societies will then organize a webinar with speaker , creator of the Computational Law Report. Dazza will tell the audience more about laying the groundwork for information society large scale public infrastructure.
