Eveline Deneer wins "L'Art et l'Essai" dissertation prize
Eveline Deneer has received the dissertation award "L'Art et l'Essai" from the French Institut National de l鈥橦istoire de l鈥橝rt.

Her dissertation is titled "Une autre histoire. Imaginaires historiques 鈥減riv茅s鈥 dans la peinture europ茅enne au d茅but du xixe si猫cle, entre pass茅 national et histoire partag茅e" ("Another history. Private historical imaginaries in European painting in the early 19th century, between national past and shared history"). The jury members praised both the dissertation's quality of scientific contribution and the form of the work. Specifically, they were impressed by the original approach and quality of writing.
