A legal women's quota: well underway but we're not there yet
In March last year, the Gender and Diversity hub together with the Dutch Women's Council (NVR) and the Centre for Inclusive Leadership advised the SER on diversity at the top. In the meantime, a bill has been drafted to which this team of experts is now responding. Although the team is positive about the introduction of a legally binding quota regulation, they are concerned that the intended goal will not be achieved, adjustments are necessary.
Earlier this year, the government embraced the final SER advice and a bill has now been drafted to actually implement the quota system. Until 14 May there will be a public consultation on this bill. Anyone interested can submit an opinion. On 11 May, the team of experts again jointly made a number of recommendations (pdf, text is in Dutch).
