On 17 June 2025, the IOS Platform Bottom-up-initiatives for Societal Change will organise its 1st Research Day. We inivite researchers affiliated with our platform to present their work.

The aim of this Research Day is to facilitate the interdisciplinairy sharing of expertise on our main research topicsand to help to create (new) networks and new collaborations. 

This event in particular offers young researchers a unique chance to bring forward their research and to expand their academic network.

We welcome presentations of recent (ongoing) research projects on (but not limited to) citizens' collectivities and citizens'  cooperatives, social entrepreneurship, bottom-up initiatives on the workplace (e.g., democratic working environentrs), bottom-up initiatives in the digital domain, and bridging the gap between bottom-up initiatives and top-down governance ('involved citizens', bureuacratic activism, citizens' participation.  

Interested in presenting your work? Please submit your proposal, with title and an abstract (150-300 words. max.), the name of the presenter (and if so, co-organisers) ultimately by 6 May via the link underneath.

Would you like to attend as non-presenting participant? That is also possible. Please submit your registration via the link below ultimately by 6 May.
