Faculty Club - Asparagus excursion
On Tuesday 20 May, in collaboration with Future Food Utrecht, we are organising an asparagus excursion. Would you like to experience the process of growing and harvesting asparagus up close? On this excursion, you will see with your own eyes how the asparagus is grown and harvested, from the bed to the plate. Sign up and discover the fascinating world of asparagus!
During Food Week, we will organise an excursion to Central Netherlands' only asparagus farm. We will visit the asparagus fields of the Buys family in Bilthoven. Early every morning, the cutters gather here to get the asparagus out of the ground. You will be explained the growing process and the way the asparagus grows. We also show you how they cut, clean and sort asparagus.

- 13:55 - 14:00: Gathering up
- 14:00 - 15:30: Start of excursion with coffee/tea and sweets
- 15:30: End of asparagus excursion
